The South Lake Union Friends and Neighbors Community Council (SLUFAN) has two (2) board-appointed positions available (open until filled) on its Board of Directors and would like to welcome neighborhood stakeholders to submit Letters of Interest.
All Stakeholders are Welcome!! SLUFAN welcomes all members of the South Lake Union community who are interested in taking an active role in the future of this neighborhood to apply for a board position, join a committee and/or attend our monthly meetings.
Board Member Responsibilities: Responsibilities of a Board Member include attendance at monthly meetings which are held the first Tuesday of each month from 4-6PM and a commitment to the full three-year term. Additional opportunities for community engagement are available through committee participation and community outreach.
Candidate Eligibility: Candidates must be South Lake Union community stakeholders-residents, business and property owners (or their representatives), or employees in the South Lake Union neighborhood.
Board Appointment Process: Candidates interested in a SLUFAN Board position on need to submit a Letter of Interest
outlining the candidate's motivation for becoming SLUFAN Board Member, background in South Lake Union, and strengths brought to the Board. Letters of Interest should be limited to 200 words or less, and will appear on the SLUFAN website.
